Hey folks! We have concluded most of the review from our last visit to the Spruce Lane Farmhouse. It seems things were fairly quiet though we are analyzing an odd picture that could yield more. Once we have completed the scrutinizing process of this picture, we’ll share it with you all to gather your thoughts. Also, our latest episode of SOPS-TV is in the works and should be ready in the coming weeks.

We have discovered to rather interesting and very historic locations in Hamilton area which we are actively in contact to set up first time investigations at. Both locations have yet to allow or have any investigations into their possible paranormal aspects as of yet. So, once things have been worked out we will share more details.

On Going Research into the Spruce Lane Farmhouse

This past Saturday night we completed yet another investigation in the very historic Spruce Lane Farmhouse. Though this time things seemed to be more quiet and content while our time there. We did incorporate two new items into our research and experimentation there. The first being an ITC Spiritbox, with conducting sessions using this box that scans the FM or AM bandwidths. There has been a reason why we haven’t bothered to use this item up until now. We simply didn’t see any results from those who were using them, by results were saying, producing evidence that could actually be presented as such. Much of the material out there claiming to be “evidence” had not even been properly scrutinized. Of course, that goes for much of the research and investigation out there. Still, because much of what we work upon when it comes to the paranormal is theory in base, we decided to give it a try and see what kind of results would come of it. Judging by the sessions we had, not much came from it in terms of actual “evidence” or material we could pass along for review. Of course, this will be a continuing area to see whatever results may come of it. Currently though, sitting on the not very convinced fence as of now.

The second aspect we have added to the investigation portion, is Full Spectrum Videography. This is an area we have wanted to expand with for quite some time now and have finally acquired the necessary equipment to more forward and explore this area. Again, we will have to build upon this component to see if there are any significant results down the road, but for now, they are just in the experimental stages where we are concerned. Yes, there are groups and people out there that swear by this area, but like everything else, we need to learn from it first before we all go nuts and make claims that in the end will make you look bad.

So, once we have completed our review of our findings, like usual in a case such as the Spruce Lane Farmhouse, they will be made public.

Hello 2012!

Well we are off to a bang this year already. Some of you may have noticed that the site has been down for quite some time. It seems that our host’s server wend through a major data failure and at first all seemed lost. Though thankfully they were able to restore everything. With that out of the way, it’s time to get you all caught up to date with what’s going on with SOPS. First of all we hope you all had a happy, safe holidays and all the best to you in 2012! We have been active in the world of investigation as per usual. Just finishing up on some private cases. We are next set to go into action this coming weekend, as we return to one of our more active places of research over the past few years. More details once we complete the investigation. This will also be the source or one of the main sources of the new CHASING SHADOWS 2 documentary. The follow-up to our 2009 into doc, CHASING SHADOWS.

We have also had many requests to be apart of the team. We are flattered that many of you would like to be apart of the SOPS team, though sadly we are only able to keep our numbers down right now. Though we have a couple new members that will be announced soon. Thank you for your requests and we will certainly keep them on file and will contact you in the future if you are still interested.

Many of you remember back in March 2011, the SOPS crew was on location to shoot an episode of the OWN-TV show, HEALTHY GOURMET. It is now online if you missed it’s airing back in July. Enjoy as we had tons of fun being apart of this and certainly very please with the final edit.

Small Update and A Holiday Wish from SOPS!

Hello everyone! Sorry it’s been awhile since the last update. We’ve been busy with a few private investigations over the last little while as well as having our annual SOPS X-Mas Gathering a couple of weeks ago. We just wanted to take the time to wish you all the best during this the holiday season and of course a healthy and prosperous 2012! Speaking of which, we have already secured several major investigations to start the new year off with, and of which we can discuss with you all once we have completed. Also, we have added a special page here for our good friend Dave McRae who is smack dab in the middle of looking for support on his film PORT ROBINSON ROAD. Back in 2009, Steve was interview for Dave’s documentary BREATHING PORT ROBINSON which bases itself on the true story behind the inspiration for the feature film which is still yet to be made. As mentioned yesterday, SOPS Founder Steve Genier will be live 102.3 BOB-FM’s morning show with Ken and Mindy shortly after the news break after 7:35amEST tomorrow (Thursday Oct 27th) morning. You can listen live online as well HERE. Will be discussing our investigations at the historical Grand Theater in London, as well as several other aspects on the paranormal. So, tune in!

Investigation, Halloween and More!

Hello folks! It’s that time of the year again, Halloween! So, on behalf of the SOPS Team, we would like to wish you all an exciting Halloween season! Now to some catching up! The SOPS team was in North Hamilton this past Sunday overnight to conduct a very intriguing investigation of a very historical location. Due to our privacy policy and respect to the location’s owners we are not able to discuss any details. We are very lucky and honored they allowed us in to conduct the investigation.

SOPS Founder Steve will be live on London’s 102.3 FM this coming Thursday morning to discuss some of the team’s investigations, evidence and more! We will post full details on exact time hopefully tomorrow. If you miss the show, hopefully we will manage to get an mp3 archive of it and post it on the site for those interested.

Fall 2011 Update

Hello folks, figured it was a good time to finally get you all caught up for this another very fall season of research and investigations. We are gearing up for a few new investigations, some rather very important locations some we have to keep under wraps due to our private policy. Though we will have a few that we will be able to share with you once we have completed them. We may have an open to the public meeting in late October early November. NEW EVPS From The Spruce Lane Farmhouse

We are currently still going through some of the audio from our investigation there at the very historic Spruce Lane Farmhouse. Though we have managed to extract two very intriguing pieces of audio evidence to share with you all for now. Please don’t hesitate to leave you’ve thoughts, comments or suggestion with the posting.

EVP#1 – Was captured by Aaron during our final EVP session in the dining room area of the farmhouse. Aaron’s recorder was situated in the front parlor room which is across the front on the other side of the front hallway. It was positioned on the fireplace in that room. At this point, we were all sitting in the dining along with the house’s curator conducting an EVP session. In the clip, you will hear us in the background talking. Then, you’s hear what sounds like an older man cough, then clear his throat and then bang something in the front parlor room. It is the bang that Linda will react too in the recording. During this session, we had experience several strange noises and bangs coming from the parlor room. The very room that first owner of the house had his funeral precession.
